Jaggi Vasudev is undoubtedly a skilled storyteller. I don’t agree with him on many things but that doesn’t stop me from appreciating his many wonderful ideas. I like that he handles important topics through the lens of the modern world. It’s not based on some “ancient” or “traditional” mumbo jumbo. Like in this piece, he draws a clever analogy between the internet and the mind.
The concept of “The Divine” in most religions is shrouded with an element of mystery. It makes the ignorant conceive the divine as something above and beyond herself, so much that she has to beg the divine for her desires. Jaggi Vasudev, on the other hand, simplifies the idea of the divine into a philosophy accessible to everyone. It’s about inversion. He says there’s no better solution to keep oneself sane and free from suffering than expressing oneself through productive endeavours.
Signing off with this awesome lecture.
